Brief | Water quality has been a hot topic of late in the US, with communities like Flint, Michigan making headlines for the dangerous levels of lead in its water supply. When the American Society of Civil Engineers gave the country’s drinking water infrastructure an overall grade of D, PUR decided to create a tool to help US residents to understand what's in their water. The interactive tool integrates extensive water quality data with Google Maps, allowing users to follow the journey of water from the source to their glass, detailing levels of lead and impurities. |

剧情简介 | PUR, a water filtration company, developed an interactive tool to help people understand what’s in the water coming out of their tap. KnowYourWater.com used Google Maps and a proprietary database of current water quality reports to create a personalized experience that educates users on the cleanliness of their tap water. By entering a location, the user follows the journey of their water from a local source, through treatment and to their tap while learning about the realities of how contaminants can enter drinking water and the importance of having the right water filter in an easy-to-understand way. |

| Water quality issues are on the rise, yet people don’t know that these issues could happen in their own backyard due to America’s aging infrastructure. Townships are required to send an annual water quality report that summarizes potential contaminants in drinking water. Yet these reports often go unread or are too difficult to understand. |
