Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
The PHNX is different from many other competitions. It's interesting to take part in a jury of people from so many varied backgrounds, which may attract unusual entries too. Above all, I take any chance I can to support creativity.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
It gives the PHNX an unusual profile compared to other competitions, which hopefully makes it attractive to entrants.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
It's an excellent way of attracting independent agencies with smaller budgets, as well as new or experimental campaigns that haven't been entered elsewhere yet.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
Innovative, quirky, unexpected.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
Everyone is still talking about AI, of course. But this is also an Olympic year, as well as an election year in many places around the world, so we should see some campaigns with a sporting or a political tone.
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
As a journalist who interviews many creatives over the course of a year, I would prefer to remain neutral on this question!
