Beth Armstrong is a director with a particular passion for taking her audience on an emotional journey through comedy and drama, a passion showcased across her short films, documentaries and TVC’s.
Beth studied a Masters of Directing Film & Television at AFTRS & boasts an impressive list of accolades from her master’s film, Danya, which screened in over 20 international festivals & received 13 awards including 5 Best Film awards. Another dramedy, Tackle, screened on ABC and her documentary, Passion with a Pedigree, on SBS. Her short feature, “Cheek to Cheek”, made in association with Screen Australia, winning Best of the Festival at the prestigious Palm Springs Film Festival, amongst other awards.
Originally trained as an actor, Beth’s ability to draw charmingly subtle & engrossing performances from her cast, combined with a particular flare for working with children, shines in her latest short film; a dramedy titled: “You Cut, I Choose”, with a story that spans four decades and features a stellar cast.
Her commercial clients include Gold Lotto, Walls Ice Cream, Ministry of Tourism, India, James Squire, Weight Watchers, Subway, Qld Health, Tattslotto, Lite ‘N Easy, Paint Place, Heritage Bank and Act for Kids.
