Catching Kiwis
Film Construction Director Hugh Mitton is featured in the StopPress 'TVCs of the Week' for his latest job Salvation Army Safety Net.
The ad signifies the tough times many kiwis go through, and how the support provided by the Sallies catches kiwis as they fall. The TVC is a part of the Red Shield Appeal, and emphasises the universal nature of the Salvation Army, by which they help all New Zealanders and not just specific demographics. Unexpected events can happen to anyone, throwing one’s life into turmoil, and the Sallies are here to help.
The job features detailed slow motion shot on the Phantom v642 by DOP Daryl Habraken, as well as a techno crane which enabled spectacular overhead shots of falling actors.
