He joined Dentsu Inc. in 1996 and has led teams based in Japan, US and China markets. In 2002, he was transferred to the US and was assigned as Senior Vice President of Dentsu Next New York in 2004 with operational responsibility. In 2009, he moved to mcgarrybowen as Account Managing Director where he helped the agency win the influential accolade AdAge “2010 Agency of the Year”. During his tenure as CEO of Dentsu TOP from 2015 to 2018, he was responsible for elevating the company’s proposition and driving strong new business success. He joined Beijing Dentsu to be responsible for business from 1994. In 2002, he became President of the 3rd Business Department. He was appointed as SVP of Beijing Dentsu in 2013 and EVP of Beijing Dentsu in 2016.
With 24 years professional experience, special on digital & mobile marketing, Tang's career with Beijing Dentsu began at International Department in 1994. He established the network interaction center, namely the Digication (the present-day &c. Inc.) with the support of the company and clients in 1999. From 2002 to 2011, he was appointed as President of the 1st Business Department and Deputy Business Director in succession. He has been SVP of Beijing Dentsu since 2013.

Beijing Dentsu Shanghai Branch performance showed a V-shape rebound since he was appointed as President of Shanghai Dentsu in June 2017. Before that, he has successively worked for DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy Shanghai, and other 4A agencies.
