Domestic violence had registered a surge, as abusers spent more time in uninterrupted contact with their victims. Sometimes in the same room, as more than 55% of Romanians live in overcrowded homes. The income insecurity triggered by the economic crisis led to even more pretexts for violence.So, as everyone only paid attention to COVID-19 related news, we have subverted the popular imagery associated with the virus, microscopic images and social distancing infographics to paint the grim story of the domestic abuse virus wreaking havoc behind closed doors. |
