剧情简介 | Mustang features a main character that overcomes the challenges involved in taming a wild mustang horse. The main character is taken with other convicts from downtown LA to a ranch in the desert. There, as part of their rehabilitation, the men are taught how to tame wild horses. Most of them attempt to do this by restraining the horse, but dont succeed. When it is his turn, the main character, however, looks at the mustang and deliberately opens the gate of the compound to set the horse free. He knows force is not the answer and has to win the animals trust. Two rangers take the man out into the desert to find the horse. He slowly approaches it, gently talks to it and strokes it, then pulls himself onto the horse. He has tamed the horse his own way. In the final shot, we see the man ride off into the desert. Anthony Minghella directs film, which will run on TV as a 60 execution with 30 cutdown. This famous director has won worldwide acclaim for film work including Cold Mountain, The English Patient, The Talented Mr Ripley and Truly Madly Deeply. Also working on the project was Janusz Kaminski, the cinematographer responsible for many of Steven Spielbergs movies. Kaminskis plaudits include Catch Me If You Can, Minority Report, Schindlers List and Jerry Maguire. The film was shot in LA throughout July. This location was selected because it offered the best horse wranglers (trainers) in the business. Rusty Hendrickson, the main wrangler used in the film, has previous involvement in films such as Seabiscuit and The Horse Whisperer. Tejon ranch, which is the USAs second largest ranch and larger in size than Rhode Island, also afforded the crew a spectacular geographical canvas on which to shoot this powerful film.
