Marine coastlines slowly engulfed by the sea. Forests decimated by wildfires. We’re all more or less aware of the link with global warming, but the rise in temperatures will reshape landscapes in a way that’s difficult to imagine. So this WWF exhibition combined well-known landscape paintings with data about global warming, as well as artificial intelligence, to show how they may evolve. All while respecting the style of the artists concerned. The result was an immersive exhibition that reached thousands of people in real life and online to raise awareness of climate change. It won awards at Cannes Lions, LIA and the Epica Awards. That’s the art of communication.
