Cheeky, entertaining, memorable – these are just a few words to describe Australia’s multifaceted advertising style. Within its incredibly diverse population, 30% of its citizens were born overseas, and 20% of the population speak a different language at home. To add to that, there over 300 languages spoken locally! It’s not difficult to see why Australia’s advertising industry is brimming with creativity and brilliance. This month, we’re taking a long overdue look at the some of the best ad campaigns coming out in Australia.

What’s hot in Australia

Coming into this quarter brought top notch campaigns such as ‘The Priceless Eyes Project’ from Cummins&Partners, a confronting Specsavers ad aimed at prompting discussion about how we value our sight. Not to mention Special Group’s campaign, ‘How You Grow Matters,’ with KPMG, which reminds us that there are a myriad of ways to progress or move forward but it’s how you get there that counts.

Let’s not forget the emergence of small but great indie agencies such as Milk & Honey, with their humorously gross take on working from home in a spot for The One Club or Sick Dog Wolf Man’s Clio award-winning spot ‘Dream Baby Dream.’ Not to mention Bear Meets Eagle On Fire’s zany Optus 5G campaign, a collection of spots that explain the benefits of 5G high-speed internet through the use of wacky characters such as grannies, game characters, and more.
