剧情简介 | Entry Summary;Every year in Serbia, about 50 thousand people die from the consequences of high blood pressure. It is equal to one smaller town that disappears every year. The other name for this disease is a "silent killer".;When it comes to unhealthy habits, people in Serbia might be the first in the world.;However, when it comes to taking care of our health, going to a doctor is usually the last thing we do.;Every second person has a high blood pressure. But it doesn’t stop them until they finally… burst.;Brief Explanation;To raise awareness and provoke conversation about high blood pressure’s devastating consequences, we made an outdoor installation: the Red Ball realized in partnership with artist Kurt Perschke. It is the world's longest-running street art work, which was for the first time ever in the service of public health. We used the symbolism of this project to illustrate the danger of high blood pressure, placing the installations across Serbia. Those who suffer from high blood pressure, feel like their head is going to explode like an over-inflated balloon. Thus, by using the red ball, we gave color and shape to the most common symptom of the high blood pressure so people could detect it before it’s too late. |
