Group Creative Director at Lukeflynn.co

概要

From A&EDDB to Droga5 to BBDO to Vice, Luke cut his teeth learning from brilliantly diverse storytellers, thinkers, and problem solvers.

Originally from London, Luke (that's me) predominantly works as a Creative Director writer but has also won shiny things for his art direction too. He began his career at an agency renowned for anthropomorphism, break-dancing Gene Kelly, inducing tears, and being named most awarded in the world several times. In 2015 Luke ventured beyond agency life and took on the lead creative management role at Pulse Films to launch their New York office. There he developed episodic and long-form entertainment formats for TV while also establishing their in-house direct-to-brand creative offering. Subsequently, Pulse films went on to be acquired and merged with Vice Media. There he oversaw creative output for Vice’s Unilever portfolio of brands.

Humblebrags - Working on global positionings for brands like Samsung, Launching Vice’s Beer brand OBL, working with Obama and Google to encourage folks to Vote, winning a $150 million Virgin Media pitch with two words, making a VW advert that garnered over 40 million views and was also chosen by Craig Inglis (Head of John Lewis marketing) as his favorite ad of all time.

Some kind words...

Elaine Parke ECD Vice Media
Luke is an extraordinary talent and an exceptional collaborator. Bring him a germ of a direction and he will cultivate it into a powerful, emotional, cinematic work.

Jeff Payne SVP Hudson Rouge
Do mere mortals have real superpowers? Funny you should ask – yes. Yes, indeed they do! Luke’s intrinsic ability to leverage his deep understanding of the modern zeitgeist, his relationships with other like-minded creators, along with his own creative muscle make him a powerful force. Being able to pull off the kind of stellar work he does, while being so humble and easy to work with is extraordinary. His tireless work ethic and friendly personality not only make him a pleasure to work, but also an extremely valuable creative team member. I’m looking forward to the day when we can collaborate with him again. But he's always booked!

Cam Blackley CCO at M&C Saatchi - (Managed Luke at Droga5) I worked with Luke at Droga5 in Sydney, he was a top talent, self sufficient and good bloke. This combination was so potent that he was poached right from under our noses. The fact that this annoyed our ECD at the time to the point of red faced fury is a sure sign he'd be a great edition to any team.

Matt Ross CCO at King James (Managed Luke at Adam&EveDDB) Mr Flynn is a wired, passionate and extremely intelligent creative. Driven and ambitious, his path to the top is assured. It is just a question of who is lucky enough to be a part of getting him there. His knowledge of and aptitude for advertising, through-the-line, is a rarity in our industry. And he has the surname of Tron's founder... just saying.

Ete Davies CEO Engine (Managed Luke at Adam&EveDDB)
The list of Honours and Awards, speak volumes about Luke’s proven ability for great creative ideas, that span across channel. He’s passionate, intelligent, insightful, dedicated and extremely hardworking. Luke always seeks to solve problems; challenging apathy and defeatist attitudes. He’s a great team player – often helping other team members and even taking on some responsibilities/tasks in order to support the team. Above all, he has a great sense of humour - I look forward to working with him again.

Dan Ng Group Strategy Director at Droga5 NY (Managed Luke at DDB London) Luke tackles the tough problems in creative briefs with big ideas and heaps of craft. As a result, his work - like The GTI Project - always delivers above expectations.

Chiara Sambonet Planning Director at AKQA (Managed Luke at DDB London) For me Luke is like a 'creative samurai'. He has an immense belief and respect for ideas and he always puts himself on the line, never spares himself in the pursuit of the best ones. Working with him makes you feel that you are doing something higher. Unlike a samurai he's great fun to be around and have excellent relationships with all the people he works with.

Matt Bundy Head of Marketing at Paramount UK (Managed Luke at DDB London)Luke is a top class creative, combining hard work and dedication with ideas that constantly surprise account teams with a fresh approach. His work answers the brief whilst pushing the boundaries of client expectations in the right direction. I would recommend him for any role and would take him with me to work alongside me in future roles if I could.
