Monitor daily tax developments, with the overarching goals of ensuring our coverage is current, accurate, and relevant.

Obtain content:

  • Solicit and edit timely articles from outside authors on current US corporate tax topics,
  • manage author relations to secure timely submission of treatises manuscript, ongoing collaboration in the development of updates/revisions, and rapid response to important tax developments, as well as participation in marketing, publicity, and similar endeavors;
  • act as liaison between authors and product managers, sales team, and customer service representatives, as well as Thomson Reuters management, and supporting those Thomson Reuters teams.

Edit content:

  • Edit author-submitted manuscript to achieve logic, readability, and house standards of literary quality;
  • to the extent practicable, ensure validity of law and legal and technical analysis; and
  • create and review manuscript for front matter, covers/spines, tabs, and highlights.
  • Write short technical pieces/news items when required.

Manage projects: Handle effectively the flow of author-submitted content for assigned treatises through careful monitoring of schedules to ensure timely submission by authors and tracking of progress of supporting personnel (e.g., copy editors, data managers, indexers, end matter preparers, etc.). Work with outside authors on journals manuscript and galleys. Manage author deadlines and production schedules by closely collaborating with desktop artists, manufacturing, outside printers, advertising department, etc.

  • Works well in teams and collaborates efficiently


JD or CPA with in-depth technical tax understanding.

Three years of tax experience in practice as attorney or accountant, or in tax publishing (editing/writing--tax, legal, accounting).
