The carnival in Barranquilla, Colombia, is the third most important in the world behind Rio and Venice. It’s even on UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list. But – surprise, surprise – thanks to the pandemic and social distancing, this year the event was cancelled. Although not entirely…Beer brand Aguila was able to recreate the “Battle of Flowers” (Batalla de Flores) via a popular truck simulator game with an open source code. The trucks were transformed into carnival floats and the parade took place online. Aguila proved that it was the ultimate carnival partner, no matter what the circumstances. Cheers! |
