Only two words are needed to describe this year’s biggest trend in food and drink advertising: Burger King. The restaurant chain’s innovative “Moldy Whopper” campaign munched four out of the top five places, while the equally smart “Stevenage Challenge” provided some extra filling at the fourth slot.

We sponsored a team at the bottom of English football’s 4th division: Stevenage. We knew that if our logo was on their shirt, it was going to appear in FIFA 20. We then launched the #StevenageChallenge, inviting gamers to play with Stevenage and sharing UGC of the likes of Messi and Neymar wearing the BK logo, for BK rewards in return. We turned a small team in real life into the biggest team online. |

剧情简介 | CONTEXT: In July 2019, AB InBev’s Budweiser announced a multi-year partnership with the UK’s Premier League and Spain’s LaLiga, a deal spanning five continents and more than 20 countries around the world. We were tasked by Budweiser to communicate the essence of this new deal. Throughout its history, beer brands such as Heineken or Carlsberg have dominated European sponsorship of football, so we wanted to introduce Budweiser in a way that was meaningful for both the brand and the people. To do this, we dug deep and found Budweiser had been there all along. IDEA: After analyzing data from over 4,000 of the most well-known goals in The Premier League and LaLiga’s history, we found there was a similarity between the formation of the goals and Budweiser’s famous ‘bowtie’ logo. From this, ‘Goals Of Kings’ was born, allowing Budweiser to become part of the history of the most iconic European sport without ever being there before. 12 of the formations have been immortalized in a book that sits at the heart of the sponsorship. Each sequence has been beautifully crafted using different art direction and copy techniques. Superstar and former Aston Villa player, Juan Pablo Angel, who also has a formation featured in the book, launched the campaign in December 2019 with several important sports journalists. The book was present in several sports shows and the campaign aired on TV, digital, radio, outdoor and print. RESULTS: - The campaign ran through different media such as TV, Digital, Outdoor, Print, and a Direct Mail (the book), and had more than 7.8 MM USD in earned media. - The campaign had more than 24 MM impressions. - 5 of the superstars of the leagues had comments about it, including Juan Pablo Angel, former player of the Aston Villa (and scorer of one of the goals of the campaign). - More than 4000 goals were analyzed by our algorithm, both from Premier League and Spanish LaLiga. - 12 of the goals were immortalized in a book that travelled across 36 different Sports Media/Programs in Latin America. |

So Dentsu Inc created stylish new packaging to be used exclusively at upscale shops and sales outlets, and leveraged social media to promote the repackaged snacks as a fashionable gift item. The result was significantly higher sales to young adults, the opening of new sales channels, and higher brand visibility and sales overall. |

To celebrate that, we’re hijacking other famous 50ths throughout the year to both honor them and remind everyone that we were there too. For the two biggest anniversaries, we recreated iconic photos so we could extend the scene and have someone actually eating Jimmy Dean during this amazing milestone. Everything from the NASA control terminals to the Woodstock stage was built by hand to the exact specifications of the originals. By matching the camera angle of the actual photo, we were able to seamlessly extend the moment making it feel as authentic as possible. Sandro and his team did hundreds of hours of research on set design, wardrobe, hair styles and equipment to ensure every little detail was period correct. The result was a pair of images that pay homage to history while celebrating Jimmy Dean’s 50th anniversary in a new, unexpected way. The final spreads were featured in TIME and Rolling Stone magazine. The goal of our campaign is to remind people in as many surprising ways as possible that 1969 changed America and breakfast forever. |

剧情简介 | Can an image make a sound without actually making a sound? The Coca-Cola Company®, via its Central & Eastern Europe Business Unit, leveraged its rich history of sensorial advertising to launch a unique campaign that invites viewers to “hear” the image of an ad in their heads. The series of photographs show macro imagery of classic Coca-Cola® moments: the “fizzing” of the bubbles, the uncapping of a bottle, and the opening of a can. The headline then reads “TRY NOT TO HEAR THIS”, challenging viewers to avoid playing the sounds in their heads, but at the same time taunting them to do so. After all, it’s human nature to seek the forbidden. Or, is it something deeper working in people’s heads? This effect is called synesthesia. It’s when two different senses cross in our brains, producing the impression people are hearing one thing even though they’re stimulated via another sense, their vision. The Coca-Cola® campaign uses its instantly recognizable product and iconic rituals to trick the brain into automatically associating an image with a specific sound, filling in the silence with the expected sound. It’s in essence an auditory illusion. |
